Apostolic Carmel Girls’ Secondary School at Buruburu Phase V, Nairobi is a CONVENT SCHOOL established and managed by the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel Registered Trust. From 2008 it became a boarding school. It is located on the Campus of the Blessed Sacrament Church Buruburu, and is under the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi.
The Apostolic Carmel is a Congregation of Religious Sisters aggregated to the Order of Discalced Carmelites, founded in Bayonne-France in 1868 by venerable Mother Veronica of the Passion and established in India in 1870 and in East Africa in 1991.
The congregation of the Apostolic Carmel runs primary schools, secondary schools, a school for the Mentally Challenged, First Grade Colleges in: Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science and Electronics, a Post Graduate College for Teacher Education, Children’s Homes, Social Service Centres and Medical Relief Centres in India, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Pakistan, Bahrain and France.
