Nairobi Regional Festivals Held at Pangani Girls’ showcasing 45 items from the Zonal level and 6 Oriental & Western Cultural Dances. 21 items qualified for the National Festivals, representing Nairobi’s diverse talent. The event spanned over four days, celebrating music, dance, and cultural performances.
Kenya National Music Festivals Hosted by Moi Girls’ High School, Eldoret, from 7th to 11th August 2024. The team faced challenges such as lack of rehearsal time but still achieved significant success:
- 2nd position in Borana folksong category
- Dominated competitions on August 10th, securing 1st positions in Bollywood dance, Bhangra folkdance, and Oriental Wind Instrument categories.
- Consistently placed in the top half of the competition with several items earning top positions.
Journey and Challenges
- The team traveled in three buses and a school van, facing accommodation challenges upon arrival but quickly adapted.
- Despite setbacks like the van breaking down, the team remained optimistic and determined, reflecting on their achievements with pride.
